ORA-00922: missing or invalid option on changing the user password

 

SQL> alter user SIVA identified by 1arkspur; alter user SIVA identified by 1arkspur * ERROR at line 1: ORA-00922: missing or invalid option

Solution:

Please try with double quotes for the password starting with number or having special characters

SQL> alter user SIVA identified by "1arkspur"; User altered.
